After a short detour in having someone else enter my receipts and income into QuickBooks, I am back at using Quicken and doing it myself. What I hoped for was the magic of not having to fiddle with bookkeeping.

What I got was far too much distance between me and both my income and my expenses. A hard lesson to learn.
